Gadgets to find your Gadgets

Well, speaking of gadgets (previous post), there is an article in both the print and online Tribune today featuring some cool gadgets. Gadgets to help us find our other gadgets, such as lost USB drives, and to help us be found if we are lost. The print article is better because it shows photos of each item, but you can still get most of the info online.

One in particular, a GPS locator called the Spot satellite messenger, would help you be found if you were in the wilderness and got lost or injured. In the article he uses getting injured mt. biking in Palos as an example of a situation when you could use the Spot. (Actually, I would think at Palos you could be fine with a regular GPS and a cell phone?) This could be really handy for anyone mt biking anywhere that doesn't get a cell phone signal!

Another one is something I have many many times wished I had, especially for keys. It's the Loc8tor Lite, and at $80 it's not cheap, but might be worth it for people who waste alot of time looking for stuff! It's basically a radio receiver tag you can put on anything that you might lose track of.
