Chris D. at Turin told me that the price of tickets for the Phil Ligget lecture May 23rd has been reduced from $100 to $25, with proceeds going to the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. That made the decision easy for me, I'm now going. Should be a good time! He asked me to spread the word. He said they have been trying to get Phil there for a few years. He is flying from Europe, taking a nap, doing the lecture, going to Connecticut to tape a Versus broadcast, then heading back to Europe. Sounds like a great opportunity to me! Congrats to my mtb teammate John S, whose business was listed in an article in Chicago Magazine about the 24 best plumbing companies in the Chicago area. I think everyone should call him and tell him they have a broken pipe! ;-)
I just read about clear/sheer Post-it Notes in the Cool Hunting email. I think I like that idea.
I was considering going to Kettle today and meeting up with the Killjoy folks to ride. I ended up not going, but after seeing pics of the various groups of WORS riders at Kettle today on Jay's blog, I wish I had. I had a good day here, but it still looked really fun.
