Wait a minute, maybe spectating 'cross is a sport itself? It's even got GEAR! Check out that cowbell on steroids! And the megaphone (yes, there is a fourth person under there), and the water bottle and the Other Beverage. Plus blankets, sofa, etc. These are guys that take their spectating seriously.

When it rains it pours around here! I need to check more often.
I like the idea that cross spectating is a sport of it's own. I've even heard of trombones as part of the optional equipment. Of course, this means I suck at cross-spectatoring, as well as cross itself.
I just thought of something based on what both of you said. Julie said he made his own cowbell. If spectating is indeed a sport, that means he made his own gear!! That is taking things to a whole new level. If I had to make my own gear for my sport, I'd be in trouble!
