Chicago is not the only Windy City

Tawnya missed her plane - there wasn't room for a bike box on the one she was supposed to be on so she is taking the next one. But, with the high winds in Denver causing big delays, it's almost 11 pm and the plane still hasn't taken off yet. She asked if I could pick her up since it's so late, and the train won't be running anymore. She staying at another friend's house not far from me. When she called right before take off at 11:25, that would put her in at 1:30 am .... time for a nap?

I missed riding both Monday and Tuesday, because of rain one day, then staying late at work. Tonight the same thing was happening - it was really too late for a ride in daylight. But I just couldn't miss another day of riding, so out came the "real" lights, not just the blinkies I always have at dusk. There is something refreshing about night riding anyway. It was really windy already, and tomorrow the winds are supposed to get up to 45 mph!

Ok, time for the nap. I'm only going to get like 45 minutes before it's time to go! I usually don't have any trouble staying up, but I couldn't get comfortable last night and didn't sleep much. Sounds like the sciatica thing must be keeping other WORS people up, too - Russell mentioned his in his blog today.
